Video - How to install a Lisy80?
Installing a Lisy80 board to replace the original CPU board brings a Gottlieb System 80, 80A or 80B pinball machine back to life: and it's simpler than it looks. The video below shows the installation step by step; here is the written summary so you can follow at your own pace.
Before you start
Your Lisy80 arrives preconfigured for your game: no programming required. Simply have a screwdriver ready and always work with the pinball machine switched off and unplugged. Take a photo of the backbox before unplugging anything: it's the best reference for reassembly.
Installation steps
- Unplug the connectors from the original CPU board (note their position carefully).
- Remove the old CPU board from its mount.
- Position the Lisy80 in the original location, keeping the correct orientation.
- Reconnect the connectors one by one, the right way round (never force them).
Power-up and diagnostics
Plug back in and switch on the pinball machine: the Lisy80 launches the game directly. You can then connect to its built-in web server from a phone or a PC to test lamps, solenoids, switches and displays: ideal for checking that everything works after installation.
